During the 8th-grade dinner/dance, it's a tradition that we showcase a video montage of student photos throughout their years at the School of St. Mary. This is a highlight of the evening!
To create this video, WE NEED YOUR HELP to provide photos of your student and group photos of school-sponsored events and field trips. Each student will be individually showcased, so please be sure to share photos.
Jeanenne Tornatore is heading up this effort and has created Google Folders where you can easily upload your photos. The deadline for submitting photos is March 1, 2025.
What photos to include:
Please submit no more than 10 individual photos of your child.
- Baby Photo: One baby/toddler photo to be included as a then vs. now ( we already have their 8th-grade yearbook photos for the “now”)
- SOSM Special Occasions - Individual pictures from first days of school, First Communion, photos of your child at SOSM-sponsored events throughout the years (Please do not include photos from personal birthday parties, family events, or other activities outside of school.)
- Group photos - Please share group student photos -- school holiday parties, athletic events, field trips, etc. (ONLY SOSM events, no personal events like birthday parties)
- Newer to SOSM - If your child has only been at SOSM for a year or two, please submit younger photos of them from their previous school experience.
Instructions for uploading photos:
- Go to SOSM CLASS OF 2025 - PHOTOS and find your student's folder.
- Click into your student's folder. Drag and drop your individual student photos directly from your desktop/laptop into your student's folder. You can also upload directly from your phone by adding "Google Drive" to your phone via your app store. You may need to create a Google account if you do not already have one (if you have Gmail, you already have a Google account.)
- What about group photos? For photos that include small groups of students (2 or more) or the entire class, please upload those directly to the folder labeled MISC GROUP PHOTOS. Think class parties, sports teams over the years, field trips, and special occasions like Nativity service.
- Please label your photos with the student's name, grade, and event if possible. To add this information, right-click and choose "rename."
How many photos can you contribute? Up to 10 individual photos (MAXIMUM 10!). For GROUP photos, please share as many as you would like. We will do our best to include as many photos as possible and ensure all students are well-represented in the video. The more student GROUP photos, the better.
What about photos taken at school events after the Jan. 31st deadline? For photos of events that take place after the March 1st deadline during Spring 2025, you can submit those in the folder SPRING 2025 PHOTOS. This will include events such as the D.C. trip, May Crowning, Spring Play, Spring Sports, etc.
