cover a variety of events happening at the School of St. Mary. Club members will
gather every week to discuss and assign possible stories and events to cover;
education, sports, art, people, etc. write and edit each other’s work, photograph
events, work on layout and publish a school paper. The club will meet every Monday
after school from 3:45 – 5:00 in Mrs. Hogan’s or Mrs. Tazioli’s classroom. Join us

Explore engaging engineering concepts by building robots with our own Revolution Robotics kits and PROgramming them with text-based blocks, all within an action-packed storyline. Each week students build and code a robot with STEAM Academy's own Revolution Robotics kits, alongside an immersive curriculum designed specifically for preteens that fosters their resilience and problem-solving skills while also teaching them about engineering and coding.

Chess-Ed provides unique, exciting, and dynamic chess instruction that lifts each student to a new level of expertise. Each week, students enjoy an engaging lesson with supervised time to play with classmates. Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 are invited to become part of a news team that will
cover a variety of events happening at the School of St. Mary. Club members will
gather every week to discuss and assign possible stories and events to cover;
education, sports, art, people, etc. write and edit each other’s work, photograph
events, work on layout and publish a school paper. The club will meet every Monday
after school from 3:45 – 5:00 in Mrs. Hogan’s or Mrs. Tazioli’s classroom. Join us
for 1 session, or for all 3 sessions!

Chess-Ed provides unique, exciting, and dynamic chess instruction that lifts each student to a new level of expertise. Each week, students enjoy an engaging lesson with supervised time to play with classmates. Students grow their knowledge of the game—from the basics through opening theory, middle-game tactics, and end-game combinations. The chess program is open to all students in all grades and levels of playing.

"Travel" around the world with your friends and Ms. Recker! Each week we will learn about a different country's geography, culture, food, and language by reading books, singing songs, making flags, and more! All "travelers" will get a passport and receive stamps as we "travel" around the world!

Play pickleball with Mr. Stanwood & Father Radley! We will start by playing casual games of pickle ball and learning the rules of the game. Then in March towards the end of the club start a tournament with prizes for the winners.
