 3-time Recipient  of the
National Blue Ribbon of Excellence Winner

The School of St. Mary enjoys over a 100-year history of excellence in education.

The School of St. Mary has been awarded the National Blue Ribbon of Excellence from the US Department of Education 3 times. Only 38 private schools in the country have received this prestigious recognition three times. The Blue Ribbon program recognizes schools based on overall academic excellence and affirms the hard work students, educators, families, and communities contribute to creating schools where students master challenging and engaging content.

Award-Winning Faculty

In April of 2022, our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Kathy Thompson, received the National Catholic Education Association LEAD. LEARN. PROCLAIM Leadership Award. She was one of 13 Catholic educators honored across the country and the only one from the Archdiocese of Chicago.
